Suggest Treatment For Melanoma Cancer After Lymph Nodes Removed

my mother has melanomia cancer. She has had her toe removed as well as 3 lymphnoids. She did not follow up with any treatment. Now , 2 years later, she has had to remove large tumor near the groin area as well as small tumors and lymphnoids from leg up thru abdomen. they took tissue sample after suregery and it shows melanomia. what is the prognosis and what stage is this at now

I am sorry to say but this is an advanced stage recurrence of her melanoma. Also, melanoma is one of the most aggressive cancers and does not respond very much to radio or chemotherapy. But at here stage the only treatment available is chemotherapy and that too will not cure her. SO, you have two options. One is chemotherapy and the other is no active anti-cancer treatment. Either way, her prognosis is poor and survival is a few months.
