Suggest Treatment For Menstrual Irregualrity

I have a question regarding a late period. I been on ortho eves since Feb. 2014, and this passed week I was three days late before I started. When I did start on the first day, I used a whole box of tampons and used liners the whole day. Soaking them within a half hour, I was sick so I stayed in bed. Everytime I got up I felt a huge gush and I d soak my shorts in blood. When I d go to get in shower I bled down my legs to floor. Really disgusting, did that for a second day and on the third it went light and stopped. I was curious if it could have been a miscarriage. I ll be seeing ob gyn tomorrow morning.
