Yes hello, My mom has matasticied breast cancer and also 80 years old. Three days ago they had to switch her medication to tomoxifin after the second dose she had uncontrolled shaking in her arms very cold freeze feeling and the tip of her tongue was burning. Is that an allergic reaction to the medication, unknown and not reported anywhere?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. This is possible side effect of medication and i dont think this is specifically allergic reaction since there would be itchiness, rash or breathing difficulties in this case. In every case she should stop any new medication till right cause is established. However, also, this may be sign of so called paraneoplastic syndrome which can be seen in some cancers and in this case treatment may not be very successful I am afraid. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
