hello
welcome to hcm
well, there are over a hundred possible conditions which can cause
microscopic hematuria..most of these are related to the
urinary tract i.e kidneys/ureters/urinary bladder/
urethra and some are systemic disorders..some of the very common causes of microscopic hematuria are--
(1) goodpasture syndrome
(2) alports syndrome
(3) hemolytic uremia
(4) membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis
(5) mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis
(6) post streptococcal glomerulonephritis
(7) lupus nephritis
(8) medullary cystic disease of the kidneys
(9) polycystic disease of kidneys
(10) hypercalciurea
(11) renal cell carcinoma
(12) renal stones
(13) benign enlargement of prostate
(14)
sickle cell disease (15) infection anywhere in the urinary tract
as you have mentioned your blood urea and
creatinine levels are in normal range but
albumin is present in trace amounts in the urine,if i were your treating doctor i would have advised you the following tests to find out the exact underlying cause of your microscopic hematuria--
(1) COMPLETE HEMOGRAM
(2) REPEAT RFT's
(3) BLOOD SUGAR F/PP
(4) SERUM CALCIUM/PHOSPHATE LEVELS
(5) URINE CYTOLOGY
(6) URINE CULTURE AND SENSTIVITY
(7)
ULTRASOUND OF THE KUB REGION
(8) INTRAVENOUS UROGRAPHY
(9) CT SCAN
(10) KIDNEY BIOPSY
(11) CYSTOSCOPY
after you get these tests you can either send us a scanned copy of your test reports for detailed evaluation or else you can consult your treating doctor with the test reports so that after detailed evaluation,a precise diagnosis can be made and appropriate treatment may be prescribed
hope you find the above information to be very helpfull
take care
