Is there a good way to explain to my non-compassionate awesome husband that I m NOT just being a baby and a middle ear infection as an adult HURTS LIKE HELL.??? I am in a lot of pain and trying to be a trooper, but when I m told everyone s been sick... as if I m just being a wimp, I want to scream....(not that I could scream right now-haha)
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
* Take an anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
* You also need a nasal and oral decongestant.
* Antibiotic is prescription based hence you have to consult your Doctor and may be get an opinion of an ENT Surgeon.
* Do not blow nose.
* Give hot fomentation to ear.
* Take rest.
Do not shout at all as it can increase the intra-tympanic pressure.
I hope this answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
