I was told today that I had a migraine stroke. But my MRI showed no evidence of a stroke. So what does it mean when he said I had a migraine stroke? All the searches I ve done talk about a stroke from a migraine, but if I have no evidence of a stroke then why would he call it that??
Your doctor may have diagnosed you as a hemiplegic migraine and probably referred the same to you as migraine stroke. In a hemiplegic migraine, temporary paralysis on one side may occur as in stroke and MRI brain is often normal. You may follow up with me to discuss it further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
