I started having migraines at 21, figured out they were hormonal related and dealt with them fairly well. With menopause I rarely had migraines. Due to the risks of cancer related to Lynch Syndrome I had a complete hysterectomy in September and have gotten several migraines since. Any suggestions to help avoid them?
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
It is known that hysterectomy can cause a similar clinical scenario, because of different changes to the body.
I would recommend you to start on an antidepressant like amytriptiline or notriptiline to help you with these symptoms. In case of side effects you can try SSRI class of antidepressants like sertraline or paroxetine, which have less side effects in your age.
