Suggest Treatment For Mild AC Joint Osteoarthrosis With Subacromial Spur

Hi, my shoulders has been bothering me for approximately 3months. I had a radiology test done and the findings was mild AC joint osteoarthrosis with a small subacromial spur. Also the finding states there was a sclerotic change at the greater tuberosity which likely relates to rotator cuff tendinopathy. I had bursitis about 5 years ago. Can you please tell me what all this means. Thanks

thank you for the question. All that matters is how much pain free movement you can have and can one check progression of osteoarthosis and tendinitis?
I would suggest regular shoulder exercises both rotation and raising of arm sideways several times daily best practised under a physiotherapist.
Hot fomentation if pain.
Application of anti-inflammatory gel on affected area like voveran Gel twice daily
If pain interfering with daily activity, then local infilteration of injection depomedrol by an orthopedist

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Dr. Naveen Kumar Sharma's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your report and this is suggestive of three things.
1.There is abnormal bone in shoulder with sharp edges, every time when you elevate your shoulder, your tendon are continuous rubbing against each other.
2.there is collection of fluid in shoulder joint.
3.There is partial torn tendons.
You need to get MRI to confirm this diagnosis. if there is torn tendon and rough bone you might need a surgery to cure this condition.
Thanks
