Suggest Treatment For Missed Periods Despite Taking Duphaston

Hi Sir, I have PCOD and i am on infertility treatment.I did ovulation induction last month and started tab.duphaston 10 mg for 10 days.On my 6th day brownish spotting seen.After duphaston my periods is due since 3 days.Kindly help me to find the reason for this.

Hello,

Duphastone tablet is a progesterone hormone tablet. It supports early pregnancy, hence it is given after ovulation. If you are not pregnant then you will get regular menstrual cycle.

Now, if you have crossed your dates, then please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

Please continue taking Folic acid and vitamin B 12 supplements. This helps you to prevent various complications during conception, pregnancy and childbirth.
