Suggest Treatment For Morning Sickness While On A Depo Shot
Hi my name is tiffany,
I have been on the depo shot for 6 months. I have been having morning sickness and I have been feeling movement in my lower tummy. I had my son 2-5-17 I'm not sure if its just in my head or it has something to do with the shot. I have 2 kids and 3 pregnancys. I had a tubal 3 months before I got pregnant with my son I almost died BC I let it go to long but I never heard of that so I didn't know what it was. But anyways I have been feeling the same way movement in lower tummy sickness and a pitching feeling in my upper leg when I walk. And the pregnancy test saying I'm not. This all happened last time. I'm just not hurting as I was when it happened last time. I'm just really confused.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As you are on depothe shot the possibility of pregnancy is less and the morning sickness you are having could be due to the side effect of the progesterone in the shot. Sometimes rarely the depot shot can fail in giving the contraceptive effect, so if you are having strong symptoms better to go for ultrasound which is better than urine pregnancy test as ultrasound can help in ruling out the possibility of pregnancy and also any other possible causes which can lead to these type of symptoms.
