Hi, My name is jan and I am 58 years old. I have been on an exercise regimen since my Hubby was diagnosed with a-fib. He is too! I have problems with my legs hurting everyday. I have always been health conscious, and I have always been a walker. My muscles hurt so much on a daily basis. I do stretch everyday. I had a strange sickness this past winter and was sick for 10 weeks. It wasn t the flu and it wasn t pneumonia, but it was bad and put me in the hospital. I have never been sick as an adult. Not like that!! I started feeling better around the first of January but have been so weak. That s why I am walking, to get my strenghth back. I feel great now but my legs hurt badly. I am too young to have problems like this.
You need to gradually increase your walking distance to give time to your body for acclimatize. Your leg pain could be because of knee for which you need to regularly do quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises.
