Suggest Treatment For Muscle Weakness In The Thighs And Calves While Exercising

I have been having difficulty with walking for exercise. I get a feeling of muscle weakness and fatigue in my thighs and calves. Need to stop and rest a few seconds. Walking for 10 minutes is about all I can do, as opposed to being able to walk one mile in 20 minutes.

Hello,

As your endurance levels have gone down and fatigue is setting in faster, you need to change to aerobic exercise which is in high intensity like the jumping jack, doing sit and stand in a chair for 1 minute where the repetition should be around 45+/-.

With both these exercises, your endurance levels will increase and you will be able to walk longer. Also managing the pattern of warmup - brisk phase - cooldown will work.

When you do walking divide the number of minutes into 3 equal segments which will help to follow the above pattern and improve the endurance levels too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
