Suggest Treatment For Muscular Degeneration

My husband has been diagnosed as having macular Degeneration. Where can I go on line to find out the latest and best meds we can give him at home? It is the wet kind. He has never smoked, consumed alcohol His BP is good, cholesterol under supervision coming down. He is 81 but does not have a family history of it. He spends about 5-6 hours a day studying charts etc on line in connection with the stock market. He has swam laps and climbed our butte regularly but not for about 18 months as he had knee and shoulder surgery. We eat the right foods (fresh fruits and vegetables like kale and spinach take a good vitamin-mineral and lutein, bilberry, zeaxanthin and CoQ10 and Ginko. He will see a specialist in a couple weeks but I would like to do more in the meantime. Thanks for your help.
