Suggest Treatment For Nausea And Gas Problem After Taking Flagyl

Hello, I am anwar from bangladesh.

I experienced vomiting and diarrhea about 10 days back. I had abdominal pain near the stomach.

Ive been taking Flagyl but my nausea has not gone. I stiil experience nausea and gas probelms, and still have a semi -liquid stool. This problem is persistent for ten days.

I had low fever for a few days at night and feel weak.

You are taking metronidazole from last 10 days and still having vomiting and diarrhea ( semi solid ) .
When such type of patient visit ( WITH VOMITING &DIARRHEA)my clinic I first of all advise NOTHING ORALLY .
At once intravenous Ringer Lactate and electrolyte infusion ( add ranitidine 3-5 ampule in each bottle as this will alleviate Hyper acidity, main cause of vomiting ) Prebiotic and lactobacillus once vomiting under control).
Usually in such cases I advise DOXYCYLIN 200 mg , single dose orally once vomiting under control.
Usually patient respond on day first .
If not under control I/V metrogyl infusion 8 hourly for 3-4 days .
