Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern for naval inflammation along with peeling skin. After reviewing your query with best diligence I can make out a possibility of infection f the umbilical area.
In such kind of cases it is quite important to maintain a good hygiene. A course of antibiotic can be taken in your kind of cases. A culture and sensitivity of the affected area could be of much help to decide the correct antibiotic. I prefer to give topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or gentamycin till the you meet a doctor.
All the best.
