Suggest Treatment For Nodules On Hand
i had a biopsy done on some nodules on the back of my left hand. the rhuemotologist thinks it might be fish tank granuloma. The lab messed up the culture and i need to do another biopsy. Dr is suggesting to start the antibiotics while we wait. I m 42 yr old female with past breast cancer. I had 1 beta fish in a little tank that may have caused the infection. Started May 2014 and was on 4 diff antiobiotics. Been to ER and family doc and oncologist and everyone thinks it is something different. Not sure if taking another round of antibiotics will help

You should go for another biopsy. Because without exact diagnosis there is no meaning of taking antibiotics. Go for biopsy and make sure about diagnosis. Then take treatment according to your diagnosis.
