I was diagnosed with two nodules on my thyroid. Here is what they said: There is a hypoechoic nodule in left thyroid. Measures 1 cm. There is course calcification see in the lower pole of Left thyroid. Two small nodules in left lobe - 1 measure 10MM and the other 12MM. No lymphadenopathy identified in the neck. I have an appointment next week for a TSH test and an appt with a the Doctor the following week but I am feeling nervous since I have been through 2 Breast Cancers in 1999 and various other non cancerous surgeries! Just feeling nervous!
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have nodule on thyroid. It can be due to multinodular goitre, adenoma or papillary carcinoma or some other lesion. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology of that thyroid nodules. It will give you exact diagnosis. then you should take treatment accordingly. But before that check your hormone level once because if you have hyperthyroidism then no need of FNAC.
So first check your thyroid hormones and if needed go for FNAC. Then plan according to diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
