Suggest Treatment For Non-healing Aphthous Ulcer
I have been suffering from apthus ulcer for 10 days it is not completely healed started antibiotic Zimax 500 mg from yesterday for 3 days besides taking riboflobin vitamin 6 tablets 3 times a day.and putting bongel and one oinment on the tongue 3 times daily..now what to do? Do i need to avoid spicy and hot food? Pls suggested..

Understanding your concern.
Well you have been prescribed right medicine for aphthous ulcer . Take Zimax 500 at least for 5 days and vitamin tablet for at least for 10 days . Beside that do warm saline rinses several times a day . You should avoid hot and spicy food and food with extreme temperature. The ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling . If the condition doesn't get better in a week then consult oral pathologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may examine it physically and rule out condition like herpes . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment and antibiotics like Tetracycline or antiviral like acyclovir along with anti inflammatory.
