Inhalation of paint fumes can irritate the nasal passages, sinuses as well as the throat leading to soreness, pain, and irritation. Nasal congestion is due to sinus irritation causing fluid accumulation. Do not worry the symptoms will get better as the effect of the paint fumes will get resolved. You should use decongestant nasal sprays like Otrivin, do steam inhalation and use saline nasal irrigation. Clean your tongue using a tongue cleaner.
