Suggest Treatment For On And Off Constipation In A Child
My 16 month old has been constipated on and off for a year! I have to give her miralax everyday or she automatically gets constipated again. She screams, and kicks! What can I do? If I give her miralax everyday, then the brain can stop telling her when to go... And she will have to take it everyday for the rest of her life... What can I do? Is she to young for a colonostopy?

Give high residue and calorie dense foods.
Give more fiber containing foods like leafy vegetables and fruits.
Plenty of water(fluids) to drink.
Lactulose syrup orally may help.
