Hello doctor, my sister has oral pigmentation, it looks like fungal infection it is spreading all over her mouth and tounge and she has got some boils on her lips and it has turned black now. We had consulted skin specialist and oral doctor(dentist) they had given her some vitamin and calcium tablets, but its of no use. It will be of great help if you can please suggest how can this be treated. Thnx
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have oral pigmentation inside mouth and around mouth which seems to be due to insufficiency of nutrients, inadequate oral hygiene and due to compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. Symptoms will go away on their own in 1-2 weeks You should take ibuprofen (if not allergic) or acetaminophen for pain. Apply dologel on them and kojivit cream. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order viral culture test. He/she may prescribe antiviral drugs like oral/topical acyclovir or famciclovir. Apply ice pack and avoid hot , sharp and spicy food. Drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
