I have been on antibiotics for 17 months now for one infection after the other. It has been so extreme that I have even been tested for Aides. They say my immune system is shot. I have had strep on my face, I have had thrush in my mouth twice, and numerous other infections. My eyebrows stay infected and falling out and I am so depressed about this all I am at my whits end . I am in my 50 s . I am not a youngster. What do you suggest?
Well, Oral thrush is a very common infection that can occur if you have a low immunity and as well as you are also taking antibiotics since long, that is also a common cause for oral thrush..
Recurring infection on face can be due to MRSA due to which the bacteria are resistant to a number of antibiotics and the ones you are taking are not providing any relief..
So my suggestion is to get a proper examination done so that proper medicines can be given to you.. Along with it for oral thrush you can be advised Nystatin mouth, Clotrimazone lozenges and oral antifungal medication like Fluconazole..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
