Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms
fungal infection in mouth known as Oral Thrush caused by yeast Candida Albicans can be treated well by anti
fungal medication and there can be a number of causes for its occurrence like dry mouth, intake of steroids and antibiotics,
immune deficiency conditions like Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, radiotherapy,
chemotherapy etc..
Treating the underlying cause can resolve the infection.
As far as your query is concerned chewing tobacco is restricted in patients having thrush as it further causes dry mouth and can exaggerate the symptoms..
There are no facts available that can prove the antifungal action of tobacco to treat thrush..
So the improvement seems to be due to medication and not tobacco..
I would suggest you to avoid chewing tobacco, maintain proper hydration by drinking plenty of water, maintain a good
oral hygiene and get treated for any underlying illness[if present].
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
