Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am a 65yr old woman who has always been able to multiple orgasm. Lately I find having an orgasm very inconsistant and don t know why. I have been happily married for 40 years and not on any hormone therapy. Difficult for me and my husband as it does matter to me and although I try to relax and just enjoy it s always at the back of my mind during sex Thanks Anne
I respect and admire your concern and would like you to also accept the fact that age does not always do the best for us. So I would recommend a check on your hormone levels, thyroid profile, ultrasound examination of your abdomen and pelvis, etc.
Having the thought whether or you will have multiple orgasms this time during the sexual activity is not a good idea.Focus on the pleasure at that moment.Have a discussion with your partner regarding your expectations. Also its important to know have you been put on any medications or antidepressant s lately ? Pattern of orgasm or pleasure achieved can also change with age.
