Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi DR I m 49 year old woman suffering from right arm and shoulder pain. These are finding from MRI C4-C5 there is a disc osteophyte complex present. This causes near complete effacement of the anterior CSF space. The right foramen is also mildly narrowed. C5-C6 there is a small disc osteophyte complex. This causes complete effacement over the anterior CSF space.
This report is suggestive of that you are having cervical spondylitis. It is causing nerve compression and rediculopathy.I would suggest you to get a physiotherapist and learn intermittent cervical traction exercises. These exercises will help in nerve decompression and pain relieving. You can also add pregabalin and Methylcobal for pain. Soft cervical collar and neck muscle strengthening is also useful. If even after this pain is not decrease then epidural steroid injection can be given. And in last stage we can think of disscectomy surgery for decompression of the nerve.
