Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My eighteen yr old daughter had ovarian cancer last april (mixed germ cell with mostly yolk sac. They removed her ovary and fallopian tube. The other ovary looked normal to the doctor. Went to an endocronologist and her karyotype was 46xy. Suggest we have her other ovary removed for fear of cancer developing. Her uterus and vagina are all normal size. fallopian tube is normal. Not sure if removing her other ovary is what we should do
HELLO DEAR I understand your concern, dear your daughter need hormonal replacement therapy by estrogen and progesterone to avoid problems of menopause like osteoporosis, hot flushes , vaginal dryness etc. To avoid side effects of hormones your daughter should start in low doses and should be under observation of gynaecologist. After marriage she even conceive by IVF with donor ovum as uterus is there. ALL the best THANKS
