Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst

Hi after having a ct scan have been told that I have ovarian cysts , after having an abdominal scan have got a hydrosalpinx in my right tube . I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago but left my ovaries . Curious as to what might happen when I see gynaecologist I have been referred .

Hello, your age and size and nature of the cysts are very important to comment on what you might expect.
1.If you are in reproductive age group and scan shows clear cysts less than 5 cm you don't have to worry much as they are likely to resolve on their own.
2. If you are pre menopausal and post menopausal the cysts need to be carefully evaluated with some blood tests and needs only follow up or surgical removal whatever the need be depending on the nature of the cyst.
3. Hydrosalpinx is the last result of previous infection of fallopian tubes. It should not bother you if you are asymptomatic at the moment and its size is negligible. Hope you have been answered satisfactorily. Take care.
