Suggest Treatment For Pain After Broken Ribs
I fell through ceiling and landed on my left side/back on a beam 3 days ago. I was examined in a and e and have suspected 3 broken ribs. I was prescribed codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain but tonight i noticed my abdomen is tight and swollen and i look about 3 months pregnant. Is this normal?

Having broken ribs from a fall is very common and they will hurt for some time up to 3-4 weeks. There is no additional medication that will help. You will need to work through the pain. The abdominal bloating maybe from the medication causing constipation. I recommend using a stool softener and laxatives while taking pain medication.
