Suggest Treatment For Pain And Discomfort In Testicles

Hi, I am having some discomfort and occasional pain in one of my testicles. It has become fairly sharpe a couple of times. It has caught me a little by surprise in that I have never had any problems in this area.
I am reasonably old (65) so I was thinking cancer was probably not the case. Any ideas? Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Testicular carcinoma doesn't cause pain. For malignant growth to occur there should also be a painless swelling. In this case it could be due to minor degree of epididymitis.
