Suggest Treatment For Pain And Redness In The Eyes

Hello,
I have been having problems in my left eye .all the white part turns blood red and hurts like a toothache ,the eye doctor's tell me that there's nothing wrong with my eye ,it's just showing up in you eye ,my ANA levels are elevated , but not enough to say ,yeah you have Lupus or any other diagnose .
They say there is an underlying issue going on and they can not pinpoint what that issue is , all I know it hurts and usually turns into a migraine , it first started yes ago ,it would happen once or twice a year ,and then month to month and now it is a 7 to 10 day episode ,they have me on eye drops ,just to give me comfort .
But as far as messing my eye sight up ,it does not , and it's always my left eye , I just got back from Duke Eye Center in Durham and she says I still have inflammation in my eye ,so she is going to start me on antibiotics . This has been going on for years .................thank you for reading my problem .

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
get eye examined by eye doctor. it can be conjunctivitis foreign body in conjuctiva since it is uniocular it does not indicate inflammation. if it is going on for years then it can be autoimune disorder having uveitis left eye. can take second opinion since any problem suggested will have binocular effect. examination and further investigation will help in arriving at diagnosis.visual acuity and funduscopy is recommended uniocular prolong problem trauma can be a cause
