Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Testicles

I got hit in the gonads with a metal door hook this morning during my work out broke and flew towards me, extremely painful. One of my testicals is now painful and swollen. Do I need to go to the doctor or will the pain and swelling subside with ice and ibuprofen?

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Testicle being such an important organ, must be taken care by a Doctor , preferably by an Urologist.
IT is already painful and swollen.
Ultrasonography with color doppler study is a must to know the exact extent of the injury, whether there is just an edema or hematoma too.
IT is possible that the hematoma can be aspirated or evacuated to save the testicle now. If left untreated the testis can become small and fibrotic in a later stage , which is not a reversible thing to do . There will not be any treatment .
