Suggest Treatment For Pain And Tingling In Buttocks
I have ha an L4 L5 spinal fusion and decompression 1 month ago. I have had no relief from symptoms from the surgery and still have pain and tingling in my right buttock and right calf. How long can it take for symptoms to subside? I am becoming increasingly depressed as I have had chronic pain for over 5 years
Hello, I have studied your question and I want to assure you that after spinal fusion and nerve decompression symptoms remain for some time, as nerve recovers very slowly. So at present you do not need to be stressed out. I would suggest you to take Pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet and continue it for 3 months. If these sensation does not recover after 3 to 4 months then I would recommend you to get a repeat MRI to make sure that decompresson is complete and there is no disc which is still compressing the nerve. If there is any confusion then you can ask me a direct question.
