I am a 32 year old male working in front of computers for the last 10 years.
Since a year I am experiencing sharp pain on both the shoulders. (front face of the shoulders where it connects to the body). Pain in right shoulder is
dominant. I also felt pain at the center of the spine. I saw a general medicine doctor 8 months ago where he took X rays at different angles and prescribed
anti inflamatory pills to be taken thrice a day for 1 month. He said it is a common problem due to bad posture and also recomended some exercises for neck
and shoulder and asked me to look 1 inch above my normal view. So I got rid of my laptop and got a screen which is like a pillar. Due to this elevated monitor, pain at the center of the
spine subsided completely. Shoulder pain subsided while I was on pills but came back immediately. I saw him again and this time he took the same set of X
rays and said that my spine is not straight from birth so I tend to balance the weight and inturn strain some musceles. He gave another stronger dosage of the anti
inflamatory pills. No pain while I am on pills but came back once the dosage was over. I saw him again and this time after the same set of X rays gave me a
pill pack where I took 7 pills on first day 6 on second day and continued till it reached 1. This was more effective than the previous ones. Pain came back
after a week. Saw him again and he gave me DICLOFENAC POTTASSIUM 50 MG 3 pills a day to be taken after meals. Although the pain is reduced I still feel it.
I also started feeling the pain while driving.
I was on vacation for a week so no severe pain for 1 week. Today I am back to work and sensing sever pain just 1 hour after staring the work. I am fed up. Please
tell me who can diagnose me properly.
I have also noticed that if I sit with my hips slightly lifted by pressing against the back of the chair as support and by resting the hands on my thieghs
there is no pain but I cannot possibly work in this posture. Pain is felt once I take my hand on the mouse or start typing. Pain is also felt more if I move
mouse little away from its normal position. Sitting in the front of monitor if I twist my body to talk to a person standing beside me I feel pain at the
center of the spine. I am fed up so much that feel like taking retirement but I am not that rich.
Please tell me what should I do.
