Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had an going pain in the back of my hip for over 8 months. I ve gone to the doctors and they sent me to Physical Therapy. About 2 months ago a similar pain started in my shoulder and about a week about it also started in the joint of my left thumb (I m right handed). Therapy doesn t seem to be helping and now that I have the pain in a third area I m getting concerned that it might be something serious.
I have studied your case. Due to compression of this nerve root there is pain in your back of hip.
I will advise you to do MRI spine For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
