Hi, Welcome to HCM forum, I understand your concern but would like to assure you that it doesn't seem like a major problem. You child seems to be having an acute upper respiratory infection which is mostly caused by a virus and the duration of a viral illness is usually 5 to 7 days. The fever not being there now is a good sign which means the infection is not too severe. Your doctor however did the right thing by giving you an antibiotic because the possibility of a bacterial infection cannot be rule out and i am sure he would have seen some evidence of infection in child's throat or ear. I would suggest you to continue the medications as prescribed (however I don't agree with the nee of omnacortil) and if fever recurs or child has worsening symptoms in the next 48 hrs, kindly go for a re visit with your doctor. Hope I answered your query completely. PLease let me know if there is some more things to clarify. Take Care.
