Suggest Treatment For Pain In Feet And Buttocks Caused After An Injury
I am 82 years old. I had been outside and had snow on my tennis shoes. I walked from my front door on carpeting. I was carrying a casserole and when I touched my feet on the kitchen floor which is linoleum my feet went out and I fell on both of my buttocks. It really hurts. I was able to get up and I don t believe anything is broken, Feels like a very deep bruise and is more painful in differnt positions. Please advise YYYY@YYYY I DIDN T REALIZE IT WAS NOT A FREE SERVICE. PLEASE DISREGARD

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely muscle strain or sprain. But if you have severe pain and restriction of motion on any point a x ray should be taken to rule out that. For strain/sprain you can have a short period of rest like 3 to 5 days. NSAIDs like ketoprofen and muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside will be helpful in this. Applying ice packs initially for 3 days followed by hot water bag application will be helpful also in painful points. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
