Suggest Treatment For Pain In Hip And Knee

We have recently moved to Newnan, GA - about 30 min south of Atlanta. My mother has K-T and is in her 70's - lower extremeties are involved and her main issues at this point are hip and knee pain. We have not been able to find an orthopod to assist in treatments that are effective. Any suggestions?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your mother's problem is most likely due to osteoarthritis. An Orthopedic examination followed by X ray of hip and knee joint can rule out this.In early stages NSAIDs for short term when pain is more and physiotherapy benefit.Quadriceps muscle strenghthening exercises and local injection of hyaluronic acid will be helpful also. But if it is in late stages arthroplasty is advised.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
