I have a lot of pain in my ribs following a blunt blow to the ribs whilst playing rugby. I can feel and hear a distinct clicking coming from a rib in the right hand side of my chest around 2 inches below the nipple. The rib also feels a very different shape to the others above and below and also the other side of my chest. I was rushed through a&e a few days later when the doctors didnt listen properly and xrayed the wrong part of my chest. There is no visible bruising but is very painful

Hello Thanks for question As you have history of fall I would like to advise to go for chest xray AP VIEW or CT SCAN..to know fracture level.. Till that time appply rib belt for atleast 3 weeks Avoid straining.. Take anti inflamatory and calcium drugs during this period.. Gradually you will improve
