Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently have had two pretty bad falls. I am 70 and have peripheral neurophy in my feet. One fall the doctor said I wrenched the left shoulder, the second fall I injured my ribs on the left side. The pain I feel is only when I move. (not kidding). If I can breath without pain, can I assume my injuries are not to serious, just bruises and don t need to see my doctor. If I went to the doctor every time I had a fall, I would be there an awful lot.
Go for x-ray chest to rule out fracture rib. In case of fracture you may have to go for strapping. Apply analgesic ointment and take combiflam tablet. Consult or tho paedic surgeon.
