Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Arch Of Foot

Hi, I had some minor pain in the arch of my foot towards the ball of the foot but suddenly bruising and swelling have appeared; it went from discomfort for a few days to such pain I can't walk on it. Should I see my internist or go straight to a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon? Thanks!

Hi and thanks for your question
To answer it your question Yes you should definitely go and see a podiatrist.
In the meantime I suggest icing your foot.
Wear comfortable sport shoes or shoes with insoles
Ibuprofen 800mg twice a day for the swelling
This should definitely reduce the pain and swelling
