Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Breast And Hip

My sister has had pain in her hip for over a year and is walking with a cane. She had breast cancer about 1 and half years ago and at that time removed and radiation given. Her cancer doctor has done a bone scan and altra- sound and said it is not cancer in her hip but the hip doctor is concerned and now wants to complete and MRI. Is it possible that the cancer could have moved to her hip in only 6 months?

Hello,
Sometimes if it is a very aggressive type of cancer then it could metastasize very quickly and even after removal of the bulk of the tumor.
If your sister is using a cane to walk that .means she is having a lot of pain and hence it necessary more important to re out a recurrence of her cancer and it's spread to the bones. A full bone scan would definitely help in picking up metastatic deposits in the bones.
Warm regards,
Dr Raksha
