Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have tightness and pain in my upper buttocks all the way across and my lower back. over the years when it gets really really bad the thing that seems to help is always the Medrol Dos Pack. It is not to the point where I need that right now. What are some medicines you might suggest for this problem? If you have some that I would need to go to a doctor and get that would be ok too.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. As per the history your have provided, the pain in the upper buttocks that get helped by Medrol pack look to be due to Sacroiilitis that is inflammation of the sacro-iliac joints hence helped with the steroids. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation and get a reference for an Orthopedic Surgeon. MRI/CT scan would help the best to get a proper diagnosis and help for further management.
