Last week I slipped on the floor and fel on my left side. I m not sure the name of the bone but it is on the side of my upper outter thigh. There is no bruise. I can walk fine but it is killing me. I can t even sleep on that side. Could something be wrong or just a bruised bone?

Hi dear,
I am sorry to here you are suffering from hip pain.
We can discuss the issue. Here you are able to walk and bear your weight ,so need not to worry as your pain not from a serious damage to the bones there is no dislocations of bone also. If there was such a problem you can't at least move your leg from a lieying position. So here the pain may be from a pressure damage to your muscles or sprain to your tendons. For that you need to take rest and avoid further movements. Local application of pain balm may give you relief. It will improve your pain on rest, If not please consult with a orthopaedic, who will do the needed examinations and guide you correctly.
Wish you a good health.
