Suggest Treatment For Pain Near Breast Bone

my 15-year-old daughter has been complainnig of pain in the sternal area, right near the breastbone, upon laughing...we have taken her to the pediatrician and he keeps on insisting it is GERD. That is really the only time it happens, when she laughs, nd sometimes it is worse than other times. Should I get a second opinion?
