Suggest Treatment For Pain Near Ear Opening And Jaw Tenderness

I am 64 yrs can t and mouth 60% since June ,14. In May,2014 I caught with cold and then nasal sound became abnormal and feel echo when I speak word e.g. no, now etc. After treated by ENT with antibiotics and steroid for sinuous .OK now but I feel tenderness my right jaw and sometime I fell a little pain near ear opening, right side of neck and head .I never use tobacco or alcohol and a vegetarian have sound health. I walk 3 km and yoga for 30 minutes daily. Pl help

Hi.
Thanks for an elucidate history.
The problem started due to viral infection, the flu. So you got the flu, fluid in the middle ear so the echoing.
The TM JOINT - temporomandibular joint got inflamed due to viral infection. IT has got a cartilage in it and this is what gets affected.

You have to continue with Antibiotics, steroids and anti-inflammatory medicines.
No hard foods. Only liquid or very soft diet. Chewing and movement of the joint should be keep to nil or minimal.
This will get well within a few days.
