Hi,
Such an occurrence is very rare to have momentary pain persisting for a short time 2 inches behind the top of left ear
-This means it is in the
scalp hence the most common causes I can think about are:
- Developing infected sebaceous cyst
-
Nerve entrapment due to neck muscle spasm or so
Hence, I would advise you the following:
- Palpate the area for any swelling which is usually very small and tender to touch
- Also, palpate neck muscles to see for any spasm, tenderness or so
Take
Ibuprofen or so whichever suits you
- Do not worry
- Consult a doctor if the problem persists
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
