Suggest Treatment For Pain Post Ingrown Toenail Removal

I had two ingrown toenails removed (just the edge and chemically killed the edge of nail growth plate). This procedure was done 5 days ago. I was told it would feel fine in a day or so but the pain is much worse. There is still a discharge and now I noticed a red line about 1 1/2 inches long traveling from the nail toward my foot. I am concerned. Do I need to be seen right away?

Hi. You have undergone nail matrix phenolization. Chemical induced inflammation is very common and sometimes dermatologists inject triamcinolone injection to reduce post phenolization inflammation. Consult your dermatologist and discuss it. Discharge can be controlled by using condy's compress. Hope it helps.
