Suggest Treatment For Pain Under Left Ribcage Radiating To Back

I have recently been diagnosed with crohns disease and just started treatment last thursday evening. i m experiencing sharp stabbing pains and uncomfortable feeling like something is stuck under my left rib cage and radiating to my back. I usually have the pain on the right side which my doctor said is because I have an ulcer at my terminal ilieum. I have had 2 soft good size bowel movements today. Is this something I should be concerned about? or should I just wait to talk with the doctor in the morning?

The pain is due to the Acute Colitis with Crohn's disease.
The pains are caused by overactive inflamed Colon.

Plenty of liquid to supplement fluid losses x 5 days
Tab Ciplox -Oz- 1 x 2 times a day x 5 days

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be due to -IBD with Crohn's Disease-extending to the Colon.
This is because the disease which was limited to terminal ileum was causing pains on the right side. But the lately, the stabbing pain with radiation to back , was from Ulcers extending to Colon, with a resultant 2 soft bowel movements.
This is mostly with accompanied Food Induced Entero-Colitis lately.
Do's till you see your doctor-
Be on skimmed Butter Milk- till you reach doctor.
Be on Liquids and bland liquid diet -like rice porridge for next 2 days.
If you have Tab Ciplox-Oz at Hand Start 1 tab x 2 times till you reach your doctor.
Tab Duspatil -Mebeverine-1 x 2 times day x 5 days
Tab PPI-Panto-D-1 x 2 times a day x 5 days
With Doctor-
he would get your stool test for ova/cyst of protozoa and bacteria.
And would continue above with
a-Vit B12 and Folic Acid- to stabilize the Colonic Health fast.
b-Sporolac Cap- 1 x 2 times a day x 1 week to stabilize bacterial flora.

You should consult GI Physician and or /Surgeon-from Surgery department.
Hence Other causes - need to be ruled out,by verification with Surgeon and GI Physician.

This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant follow-up with local family or specialist Surgeon and GI Physician for long term would give you long remissions of such pains in time to come, which would depend on meticulous follow-up treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
