Hello,

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a urologist, get urine tests (R/E and C/S) done. You will be evaluated to detect epididymitis, prostatitis, hernia, hydrocele, etc. If infection like E. coli or UTI is detected it will be treated with antibiotics. The symptoms indicate epididymitis. A course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin or Doxycycline is used to treat this.

NSAIDs or analgesics are prescribed to reduce pain, inflammation, swelling and soreness. The treating doctor may advice rest, application of ice packs, intake of fluids and water and elevation of the scrotum if required. Your treatment will also depend on any underlying health condition like prostatitis, etc. You will be given conservative treatment & if required you will be recommended surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
