Hello,

Use antibiotics like metronidazole thrice a day for five days. Use sitz bath to heal. Have a soft diet and apply local diltiazem gel twice a day. Continue high fiber diet and avoid alcohol.

If symptoms not improved with medical treatment, you need surgical intervention like lateral sphincterotomy. Please consult your surgeon, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
